PILLMAN, Wash.- Washington State University will host the annual Cougar Classic September 19-21...field includes Idaho, Eastern Washington, Gonzaga, University of Montana, Montana State, Boise State, Portland State and the University of Portland...matches will begin at 9 a.m. Friday, 8:30 a.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday...results can be found at

NCAA Tournament - Last season WSU made its first appearance since the 2002 season at the NCAA Tournament...Louisiana State defeated the Cougars 5-0 to end their run at the tournament...senior Ekaterina Burduli competed in the 2008 NCAA Singles Championship against South Carolina's Gira Schofield, but fell, 3-6, 7-5, 6-4 in the opening round.

Last Season - The Cougars finished the season ranked 43rd nationally with, a record of 16-9...the 16 wins were the most wins in a season during Harts tenure...eight of the nine losses were to ranked teams...Ekaterina Burduli set the all-time mark for wins in a season with 28 and finished her career with an all-time best 90 victories.

Coach Hart - Washington State's Lisa Hart heads into her sixth season as head coach...her overall record as a Cougar is 58-61...last season Hart led the team to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2002.
