Bruins Finish 12th at Olympia Fields Invitational

The UCLA men's golf team finished 12th at the Olympia Fields/University of Illinois Invitational Sunday.
The Bruins posted a team score of 298 (+18) in the final round and finished with a 54-hole total of 886 (+46). Host Illinois won the event, firing a final round team score of one-under par 279 for a three round total of 852 (+12). Indiana took runner-up honors at 863 (+23) followed by Oklahoma State at 864 (+24).
UCLA seniors Lucas Lee and Erik Flores led the way in the final round. Lee posted a Sunday score of 73 (+3) and tied for 17th at 216 (+6), while Flores also carded a score of 73 in the final round and tied for 17th at 217 (+7). Sophomore Philip Francis tied for 56th at 227 (+17) after a final round score of 79 (+9). Teammate Connor Driscoll tied for 58th at 228 (+18) following a 73 (+3). Freshman Mauricio Azcue placed 74th following a 79 (+9) in the final round.
Illinois' Zach Barlow won the event with a final round 67 (-3) and a 54-hole score of 209 (-1).
