'This was a big feat for Deborah, going 4-0 in her first collegiate event,' said head coach Vicky Maes. 'She showed us she is a fighter, stepping up big time under pressure situations. I'm very happy with the way she handled herself throughout the entire tournament. She played challenging matches and needed to be strong mentally to win.'

'Overall, this was a good showing for the Wildcats, especially in the singles,' Maes said, 'We have a lot of work to do in doubles, but to see each player execute the game plan well and hit the ball with more confidence this early on in the year is a very good sign for things to come.'
