TUCSON -- Arizona got plenty of offense and hits in key situations as they went 2-0 on the day in defeating Yavapai, 4-1, and Eastern Arizona, 3-0.

Yavapai vs. Arizona: Victoria Kemp batted in the first two RBIs of fall ball on a single to left, and Sarah Akamine pitched 6 effective innings to lead Arizona to a 4-1 victory.

Kemp's second-inning single started a three-run frame in which Arizona nearly batted around. Arizona only run came in the next inning, courtesy of a stolen base and a two-base error that scored Kristen Arriola.

Akamine struck out four in the effort. Sisk came in to relieve in the seventh, shutting down the Roughriders.

Eastern Arizona vs. Arizona: Lini Koria hit a two-run home run, backed by a combined no-hitter to propel Arizona to a 3-0 victory over the Gila Monsters.

Koria's third-inning blast scored pinch runner Jill Malina and gave Arizona an insurmountable 3-0 lead.

Sisk and Akamine combined for three strikeouts, with the former pitching the first six and the latter relieving in the seventh.

Up Next: Arizona will return to practice on Monday at 2:15 p.m. with Coach Mike Candrea returning from Europe. Their next games will take place on Oct. 10-12 at Hillenbrand Stadium in the Arizona Fall Classic.
