Washington's Swarbrick Named Pac-10 Volleyball Player Of The Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- WASHINGTON middle blocker Jessica Swarbrick has been named the Pac-10 Volleyball Player of the Week for Sept. 22 - 28, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Swarbrick boasted the team's highest hitting percentage and collected the most blocks as the No. 9 Huskies picked up two road Pac-10 victories over Arizona State and Arizona. The El Dorado, Calif., native recorded just two hitting errors over two matches, both of which went five sets.

At Arizona State, Swarbrick totaled eight kills and five blocks for a .467 attack percentage. The senior continued her consistent play posting 12 kills and five blocks at Arizona. She improved her season attack percentage to .475 and has moved into sole possession of fourth place on Washington's all-time block assists list with 380.

This marks the first weekly honor for Swarbrick and the 26th all-time for Washington.
