Men's Golf In Second at Wolf Pack Classic

TUCSON, Ariz. - The University of Arizona men's golf team is in second place after the first round of play Monday Wolf Pack Classic in Reno, Nev.
The Wildcats posted a first-round 286 (-2) to finish the opening round six shots behind Fresno State. Arizona and Fresno State are the only teams under par in the 13-team field.
UA's total of three rounds at par or better in the first 18 holes topped the total for the team in its first event of the season
Tyler Neal led the Wildcats from the start, carding a two-under 70 to open the event. Tyler, who won this event last year, is currently tied for seventh place. He was one of three UA players in the top-20 places after round one.
Also competing for the UA is Brad Nicholson, who is in 75th place at 12-over 84.
The Wolf Pack Classic concludes tomorrow at Wolf Run Golf Club, a par-72, 7,100-yard layout.
