SAMMAMISH, Wash. - The Washington State women's golf team finished in eighth place at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational, held at the 6,127-yard, par-72 Sahalee Country Club.

Senior Amy Eneroth finished in a tie for seventh place, carding a final-round score of 75 (+3). The finish was the fifth-best score posted by any golfer in the final round. She has finished in the top 10 twice this season, as well as posting top 25 finishes in all four tournaments.

'This week has confirmed again that Amy can play with anybody in the country!' said Cougar Head Coach Walt Williams.

Senior Jessica Black held on to finish in a tie for 25th with a three-round total of 235. This was the 18th top 25 finish of her career, clinching sole possession of seventh place on WSU's all-time list.

Freshman Lauren Howell was third for the Cougars, finishing 36th in the field with a three-round total of 239. Freshmen teammates Kristen Allard and Andrea Rosete rounded out the WSU team. Allard finished with a three-round total of 245 while Rosete carded a 247.

'Sahalee was playing very difficult and it proved to be a little too tough for most of us today,' said Williams.

The women's golf team has another bye week before traveling to the East Coast to play in the Kiawah Cuthbert Cup in Kiawah, S.C., Oct. 27-28.
