The Women of Troy will begin their fall season this Saturday, October 25 as they travel to Lake Natoma, Calif. to participate in the Head of the American, hosted by Sacramento State Aquatic Center. USC will be racing two varsity eight and two varsity four boats. The varsity eights will race at 1:30 p.m. in the Women's Collegiate 8+ and the varsity fours will begin at 2:45 p.m. in the Women's Collegiate 4+ category. Many of the Trojans are no strangers to Lake Natoma, for the team often trains there, it is the site of the Pac-10 Championships and also hosted the 2008 NCAA Championships.

With more than half of the varsity roster being comprised of new student-athletes, the young team will aim to gain experience as a team on this course. Head Coach Zenon Babraj says, 'We have a lot of young, talented athletes and we are focusing on development and unifying our techniques as a team.'

Starting lineups for this weekend's regatta to follow soon.
