Alex Clayton To Begin Singles Play At ITA National Indoor Championships

STANFORD, Calif. - Having won the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) West-North Region men's singles bracket in three sets over teammate Bradley Klahn on Oct. 21, fourth-ranked sophomore Alex Clayton has moved on to the ITA National Indoor Championships and is set to begin competition Thursday in Charlottesville, Va.

Clayton was selected as the fourth seed in the tournament. Draws have not been finalized as of yet, but will be posted on the ITA's tournament page when available. The singles field is made up of 32 players.

The ITA National Indoor Championships, hosted by the University of Virginia at Boar's Head Sports Club, starts Thursday, November 6 at 10 a.m. and runs through Sunday November 9. Admission to the tournament is free. This is the second of three national tournaments for singles and doubles administered by the ITA during the 2008-09 academic year.
