Falk Selected To <i>Soccer America</i>'s National Team Of The Week
Nov. 5, 2008
STANFORD, Calif. - Senior Allison Falk became the eighth Cardinal women's soccer player to be selected to a national team of the week on Tuesday, when Soccer America honored her on its squad for the week of Oct. 27-Nov. 2.
Falk, a central defender, scored her first goal of the season on a corner kick in the 54th minute against USC to break a scoreless tie. Freshman Teresa Noyola served a perfect ball right to Falk, who headed a ball towards the goal that deflected off the crossbar and into the net. The goal would have been the game-winner had the Trojans not been able to slip one in the net with two seconds left in the game.
This is the first time this season that Falk has earned national team of the week accolades, and brings the team's total to 21 separate honors on the season.
