Meagan Ganzer added 11 kills, hitting .471, and two blocks while Jackie Albright had 10 kills and a team-high 12 digs. Renee Bordelon had a career-high 51 assists. Bree Flach added 10 digs. Emily Rooney had eight kills and only one error on nine attacks for a .778 hitting percentage. Amy Small served two aces. WSU hit a season-high .362 for the match.

UW's Becky Perry controlled the first set as the 6-2 sophomore landed seven kills, hitting .656, and added a block to lead the Huskies to a 25-19 win. UW ran off a 12-4 lead but the Cougs narrowed the lead to 20-15. Carlson and Collymore tagged consecutive kills to give the purple uniforms a seven-point advantage. The teams traded scored until WSU put two on the board behind a service error by Collymore and a Rooney ace. Rooney's next serve went into the net to end the set. The UW hit .400 and the Cougars hit .250 in this opening set.

The Cougars jumped out to a 7-3 lead and the Huskies spent the majority of the set one or two points behind, until tying the score at 20. The squads traded points with WSU regaining the lead behind a Ganzer kill and a block by Tillman. With WSU up 23-21, the Huskies took a timeout. That was not enough to ice Amy Small as she rolled a serve ever so gently over the net for an ace and WSU's 24th point. Collymore landed a kill to give UW 22 but Tillman's dominate kill ended the set in the crimson uniform's favor, 25-22. Rooney had five kills and Albright and Tillman each had four kills in this set. WSU did not have an error in this set, landing 19 kills on 29 attacks for a .655 hitting percentage.

WSU kept the momentum going after the break, taking an 8-4 lead. The Huskies kept chipping away until knotting up the score at 16 points. The score was tied four more times until UW tallied three in a row with kills from Swarbrick and two from Perry, and went ahead 23-20. Albright and Perry traded attacks with the WSU junior landed two and Perry getting the first down but not the second attack to put the score at 24-23. Bianca Rowland's kill ended the set 25-23. Huskies hit .500 in this set and WSU hit .364.

Again, WSU took a quick 6-3 lead to open the fourth set but UW roared back to tie the set at six-all. The Dawgs extended the lead to 16-10 when WSU took its final timeout. But the Huskies were unrelenting and went on to pound-out the 25-14 win.

'I felt we played at a high level only from the standpoint of the effort that we gave and the ability to answer UW's big swings with our own big swings so I'm happy with that,' WSU Head Coach Andrew Palileo said.

After the match Tillman said, 'We brought out the fight tonight. I think the win against OSU did us some good. We took that energy and brought it to the game tonight. It was senior night and we had a lot to play for. We want to go out with a bang so we have the energy and the momentum we just have to use it and fight all the way through to the end.'

Washington State completes its 2008 season hosting Arizona State Friday, Nov. 28, and Arizona, Saturday, Nov. 29. Both matches begin at 7 p.m. in Bohler Gym.
