Asano would also account for the Aggies' first field goal of the game when she converted a three-pointer with 11:52 remaining in the first half to cut ASU's largest lead of the first half to 17-5.
UC Davis would get within four points, 27-23, on Mintun's field goal with 2:50 left in the half before the Sun Devils went on a 10-0 run - back-to-back three-point field goals by Orsillo, and a field goal and pair of free throws by January - to help them take a 37-25 lead into the locker room.
