Henninger Takes 6th on 3-Meter Board at Texas Invitational

AUSTIN, Texas - California sophomore diver Tom Henninger finished sixth in the three-meter springboard final with an NCAA zone qualifying score of 326.65 on the second day of the Texas Invitational on Friday evening at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center. The product of Glenside, Pa., also placed sixth on the one-meter springboard on Thursday in Austin.

Texas took four of the top five spots, with Longhorn Drew Livingston winning the three-meter title with a final score of 422.70.

Henninger, who was eighth in the morning preliminary round with a score of 297.85, was the only Golden Bear to reach the final. In the prelim, he edged sophomore teammate Taylor Dehn, who was ninth with a score of 292.55. Cal freshman Joe Quattrocchi was 13th with a prelim score of 266.45.

On Sunday, the final day of the Texas Invitational, men's action concludes with the platform competition scheduled for 3-4 p.m. CT (1-2 p.m. PT). There are no prelim dives slated for the platform.
