STANFORD, Calif. - Defensive end Tom Keiser, who finished among the Pac-10 Conference leaders in sacks and forced fumbles, was named to All-Freshman Team today, landing a spot on the second team.

Keiser burst onto the scene as a redshirt freshman this past season, logging significant playing time in all 12 games and earning his first career start at Notre Dame. The Wexford, Pa. native finished the season with 24 total tackles, including 17 solo efforts, and two pass breakups.

He also ranked third in the Pac-10 Conference in forced fumbles per game (0.25) and was 10th in the conference in sacks (6.0).

Oregon State's Jacquizz Rogers was named CFN's Offensive Freshman of the Year while Oklahoma linebacker Travis Lewis earned Defensive Freshman of the Year honors.

Keiser also earned honorable mention All-Pac-10 Conference accolades earlier this week.
