Arizona's Hill Named U.S. Bank Pac-10 Men's Basketball Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- ARIZONA junior forward Jordan Hill has been named the U.S. Bank Pac-10 Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 8 - 14, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Hill led Arizona to a 69-56 win over San Diego State, Wednesday, followed by a 69-64 upset over No. 4 Gonzaga, Sunday. The Atlanta, Ga., native averaged 23.5 points, 10 rebounds and 4.5 blocks in the two contests.
Against the Aztecs, Hill posted career-high totals in points (25), assists (4), and blocks (6) to go along with 14 rebounds, marking his sixth double-double of the season. The junior totaled 22 points, six rebounds, three blocks and three steals for the Wildcats in the win over the Bulldogs. It was his fifth 20-point scoring effort this season. He currently leads the Pac-10 with 11.8 rebounds per game and ranks second in blocks with 3.0 per game.
This is the second weekly honor for Hill and the 72nd overall for Arizona.
