Three Swimmers Place First during Win

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Kayla Rawlings, Brittney Iverson and Rachael Wahl each won an event while the Oregon State women's swim team defeated Florida Atlantic (163-125) and Old Dominion (192-99), but fell to Northwestern (169-93).
Rawlings led the Beavers with two victories during the afternoon, first in the 200 butterfly where Oregon State took first, second and third, with a time of 2:02.96. She continued her success with a win in the 100 butterfly, 56.57.
Iverson won the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:04.89, beating the second place finisher by four seconds. Iverson also had a second place finish in the 200 butterfly, 2:04.85 and in the 200 freestyle, 1:51.83.
Wahl continued bringing victories to Oregon State with a win in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:58.923, beating the second place finisher by almost two seconds. Wahl finished in third in the 200 butterfly, 2:05.24, and also had a fifth place finish in the 100 butterfly with a time of 57.81.
Jenni Dole finished fourth in the 100 backstroke in 58.92, while Anna Heller finished in fifth with a time of 59.12. Dole also finished fourth in the 200 backstroke, 2:05.43, while Heller finished in sixth with 2:07.46.
Signe Larson had a second place finish in the 100 breaststroke, 1:06.44, while teammates Agata Szewczuk finished in fifth, 1:07.65, and Corrinne Burrow finished in sixth with a time of 1:07.81. Burrow finished in second during the 200 breaststroke, 2:22.09, while Larson finished in fifth with a time of 2:23.39.
Anna Crandall also helped the scoring for the Beavers with a fourth place finish in the 50 freestyle, 24.29, and a second place finish in the 200 freestyle, 52.56.
Oregon State jumps back into the pool Friday, Dec. 2, when the Beavers head to Tucson, Ariz. to take on Pacific-10 Conference Arizona at 2 p.m. followed by Arizona State Saturday, Dec. 3, in Tempe, Ariz. at 12 p.m.
