BERKELEY - Five California Golden Bears have been invited to postseason all-star games following the 2008 season with center Alex Mack and linebacker Zack Follett going to the Senior Bowl and linebackers Worrell Williams and Anthony Felder, plus long snapper Nick Sundberg, going to the East-West Shrine Game.

The 60th Under Armour Senior Bowl will be played Jan 24 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala. It will kick off at 4 p.m. PT and be televised by the NFL Network. The 84th annual Shrine Game will be played Jan. 17 at Houston's Robertson Stadium and will be aired on ESPN2 starting at 1 p.m. PT.

The Senior Bowl features some of the nation's best senior collegiate football stars and top NFL draft prospects on teams coached by NFL coaching staffs. Senior Bowl practices and game week festivities are attended by more than 800 general managers, head coaches, assistant coaches, scouts and other front office personnel from all 32 National Football League teams. The East-West Shrine Game is the oldest of the postseason collegiate bowl games. Every year since 1925, the game has been played to raise funds for Shriners Hospitals for Children and to raise awareness about the expert orthopaedic, burn, spinal cord injury rehabilitation, and cleft lip and palate care, available at no charge to patients and families, through the 22 Shriners Hospitals for Children. For information on the Shrine Game can be found at www.shrinegame.com.
