Arizona's Horne Named U.S. Bank Pac-10 Men's Basketball Player Of The Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- ARIZONA sophomore forward Jamelle Horne has been named the U.S. Bank Pac-10 Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 22 - 28, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Horne posted career-high totals of 19 points and 13 rebounds in Arizona's 84-67 victory over Kansas on Dec. 23. The San Diego, Calif., native also knocked down a career-best two three-point field goals while adding two assists. The sophomore connected on seven of his 13 shot attempts (.538) and eight of his 13 rebounds were offensive.

Horne recorded his first career double-double as the Wildcats handed the defending National Champions its worst loss of the season. On the season, Horne averages 8.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game, while shooting 48.7 percent from the field.

This is the first weekly honor for Horne and the 73rd all-time for Arizona.
