WSU Rallies to Edge Oregon State in OT, 61-57

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Aron Baynes had 17 points and 11 rebounds and Washington State erased a second-half deficit to beat Oregon State 61-57 in overtime Thursday.

Caleb Forrest's two free throws to open the extra period gave the Cougars a 52-50 lead, their first advantage since a 30-29 lead with 1:30 left in the first half. Washington State (10-6, 2-2 Pacific-10 Conference) never trailed in the overtime.

Calvin Haynes had a game-high 19 points for Oregon State (6-9, 1-4), which has seen its last two home games go to overtime. The Beavers defeated USC 62-58 in overtime on Jan. 4 to break a 23-game Pac-10 losing streak.

Taylor Rochestie added 14 points and Klay Thompson 12 for Washington State. The Cougars outscored the Beavers 16-7 in the final 13:30 of regulation.
