Beavers Announce Administrative Staff Moves

Oregon State University Director of Athletics Bob De Carolis announced Friday that Matt Arend has been promoted to Associate Athletic Director for External Operations, Cecil Hairston to Director of Ticket Operations and Nikki Pruett to Director of Promotions and Fan Development. Ben Little has also joined the staff full-time as Director of Advertising, Web Design and Branding.
Arend was formerly Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket and Revenue Operations after being hired in 2002 as the Director of Ticket Operations. Prior to arriving at Oregon State, Arend spent two years in ticket operations at the University of Iowa, two years as a graduate assistant in ticket operations at Western Michigan University and one-year in the marketing department at Bowling Green State University. He is a 1998 graduate of WMU with a bachelor’s degree and in 2000 earned a master’s in sports administration.
Hairston had been serving as the Assistant Director of Ticket Operations since 2005 after two years in a similar capacity at Bowling Green State University. He also has experience as an assistant event manager for the Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer and at BGSU, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sports management enterprise in 2004.
Pruett has been on the staff since 2006 as the Director of Marketing coming to OSU from the Stockton (Calif.) Ports, the single-A affiliate of Major League Baseball’s Oakland Athletics. While with the Ports she served as the team’s Director of Group Sales and Director of Ticket Operations. Pruett is a 2003 graduate of the University of Puget Sound with a bachelor’s degree in business.
Little has been on the OSU Athletics staff as a graphic design intern for the last 18 months after earning his bachelor’s degree from OSU in 2007 in applied visual arts/graphic design. He also has worked for the OSU Alumni Association.
