Beavers Come Up Short Against Huskies

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) -- Jon Brockman had 16 points and nine rebounds for Washington after the Huskies took charge in the second half of an 85-59 win over Oregon State on Saturday.
Washington outscored the Beavers 30-15 in the first 10 minutes of the second half after trailing by as many as seven in the first half.
Washington (13-4, 4-1 Pac-10) led 52-38 five minutes into the second half and went ahead by as many as 27.
Oregon State (6-10, 1-5) got no closer than 19 in the final nine minutes.
Quincy Pondexter added 15 points and Justin Dentmon 13 for Washington, which has won nine of the last 11 games against Oregon State.
Seth Tarver had 16 points to lead the Beavers.
