Around the league... ARIZONA freshman G Kyle Fogg has posted double digit scoring in each of the last three games. During that span, he’s averaging 15.0 points while shooting 12-of-20 (.600) from the field, 6-of-11 (.545) from three-point range and 15-of-16 (.938) from the free throw line In Saturday’s 66-56 win over Washington State, the Wildcats become just the third team this season to score more than 65 points against the current national leader in scoring defense (53.2 ppg)... With 822 career rebounds, ARIZONA STATE senior F Jeff Pendergraph moved into fourth on the schools career rebound list, passing former Sun Devil Ike Diogu (802 reb, 2003-05). He needs 15 more boards to move past Tony Zeno (836 reb, 1977-79) for third. Pendergraph currently leads the league in field goal percentage (.669), and is third nationally. ASU’s single-season record is 63.0 percent set by Trent Edwards in 1989. The Sun Devils are allowing just 59.4 points per game. Only three other times have the Sun Devils allowed an average under 60 points per game for entire season (1948, 1949, 1950)... CALIFORNIA junior F Jamal Boykin posted his third double-double in the last seven games with 18 points and 10 rebounds at USC. Over the last seven games, he’s averaging 12.9 points and 7.9 rebounds. California leads the nation in three-point field goal percentage (.458), thanks to junior F Theo Robertson (.562), junior G Jerome Randle (.460) and junior G Patrick Christopher (.403). The Bears have never shot better than 40 percent in a season from beyond the arc as their single-season best was 38.7 percent during the 1990 season... OREGON junior G Tajuan Porter is hitting 19-of-37 (.514) from three-point range over the last four games. His 248 career three-pointers rank second in school history and ninth on the Pac-10 all-time list. Freshman F Josh Crittle earned his second start of the season and responded with a season-best 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting in the game at Oregon State. The Ducks are home for five of their next seven league games and are looking for the friendly confines of Mac Court to help snap a nine-game skid. Despite being 4-6 at home this season, the Ducks have posted a winning record in Mac Court 14 consecutive seasons... OREGON STATE has won four straight for the first time since posting six consecutive victories during the 2004-05 season. The three consecutive league wins also match three straight Pac-10 wins during the 2004-05 season. The Beavers have recently found their shooting touch from long distance as they have hit 27-of-50 (.540) from three-point range over the last three Pac-10 games. In the first six league games, they hit just 32-of-118 (.271) beyond the arc. Over the last four games, sophomore G Calvin Haynes has connected on 14-of-27 (.519) from three-point range... STANFORD’s 70-69 setback at USC last week was it’s third one-point defeat in league play this season, and all three came on the road (84-83 at Washington, 55-54 at Washington State). The Cardinal have had homecourt success of late over the Washington schools, winning 11 of its last 12 meetings with Washington State and the last 15 meetings with Washington in Maples Pavilion... UCLA shot a combined 66-of-111 (.595) last week in wins over California and Stanford to push its league-leading team field goal percentage to 50.3 percent, which ranks second nationally behind Utah State (50.7 percent). Senior G Darren Collison has made 22 of his last 23 free throw attempts and currently leads the nation in free throw percentage (.944). The Pac-10 single-season record is 95.0 percent (95-of-100), set by former Bruin Rod Foster during the 1982 season... USC junior F Taj Gibson has posted four double-doubles in the last six games and is averaging 13.8 points and 10.2 rebounds during that span of games. Gibson has 795 career rebounds, which is seventh on the school’s all-time list. Should he maintain his 10.2 rpg average (third in the Pac-10) for the remainder of the season, he’ll finish the year second on USC’s all-time rebound list behind school record holder Ron Riley (1,067 rebounds, 1970-72)... Only four other times since the league expanded to 10 teams in 1978-79 has WASHINGTON finished the first half of league play with a record of 7-2 or better - 1982 (8-1), 1984 (8-1), 1986 (7-2), and 2005 (7-2). Senior G Justin Dentmon shot 15-of-26 (.577) from the field, including 11-of-19 (.579) from three-point range and 12-of-13 (.923) from the charity stripe to average 26.5 points during the desert road swing. He scored a career-high 30 points in the win at Arizona State. Dentmon has hit 33-of-34 (.971) from the free throw line over the last four games... WASHINGTON STATE senior C Aron Baynes recorded his fourth double-double of the season with 12 points and a career-high 14 rebounds at Arizona. Over the last seven games, Baynes is averaging 10.6 rebounds per game. Freshman G Klay Thompson set a WSU freshman record with eight three-pointers when he hit 8-of-10 (.800) from long range on the way to a season-best 28 points (and added seven rebounds) in the win at Arizona State.
