Wildcats Get First Road Win

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Chase Budinger had 17 points and eight rebounds for Arizona as the Wildcats held off Oregon State for a 56-53 Pacific-10 Conference win on Thursday.

Roeland Schaftenaar narrowly missed a game-tying 3-pointer for Oregon State from the corner at the buzzer.

Arizona (15-8, 5-5 Pac-10) built a 13-point second-half lead only to see Oregon State (10-11, 4-6) erase it.

Rickey Claitt's 3-pointer for the Beavers tied the game with 1:41 remaining, but Oregon State didn't score again. The loss broke a four-game winning streak.
