Baseball Single-Game Tickets On Sale Feb. 16

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Single-game tickets for the 2009 Oregon State baseball season will go on sale Monday, Feb. 16.

Single-game seats in the grandstand areas of Goss Stadium at Coleman Field - the permanent seats down the right and left field lines - will cost $20 per ticket. Seats in the outfield bleachers - beyond the right-field fence - will cost $10.

Beginning Feb. 16, fans may purchase these single-game seats by visiting the ticket office at legendary Gill Coliseum, by calling 1-800-GOBEAVS or by visiting

The Beavers are in or near the top 25 in each of the major polls this season. Oregon State is ranked 25th by Baseball America and 24th by The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) has OSU at No. 31, while Collegiate Baseball, the first poll to come out this season, puts the Beavers at No. 38 to open the season. The Sporting News, which does not have a weekly poll, placed Oregon State at No. 15 in its annual baseball yearbook.

Recently, Oregon State was selected to finish fourth in the Pacific-10 Conference this season, and received two first-place votes from the league's coaches.

Available now are a number of season tickets for the 2009 season. The season-ticket packages include 23 games at Goss Stadium and the three-game series against Missouri State and cost $400. The 2009 home schedule includes games against California and Arizona State, 2008 NCAA Tournament teams, as well as two games against Civil War foe Oregon for the first time since the 1981 season.

Additionally, tickets to the 2009 Papé Grand Slam will go on sale on Feb. 11. The 2009 Slam will take place from March 13-15 and will feature Oregon State and perennial Midwest power Missouri State in a three-game series at PGE Park in Portland.

Papé Grand Slam tickets can be purchased at all Ticketmaster outlets, including, and by calling (503) 224-4400. Tickets will also be made available at the PGE Park box office beginning Monday February 23rd.

Single-game tickets for the Papé Grand Slam are $10 for adults and $5 for youths (ages 3-18), with each seat being general admission. Oregon State students who present their ID on game day can also get seats for $5. Those who have season tickets for the 2009 Oregon State baseball season will have a specific number of sections reserved for them on the Oregon State dugout side of PGE Park.

The 2009 season officially opens Feb. 20 when the Beavers start a three-game series against Tennessee in Knoxville.
