Feb. 9, 2009
USC senior guard Camille LeNoir has been named the Pac-10 Player of the Week after notching her third straight game with 18 or more points and her seventh double-digit performance in eight games by providing a team-high 19 points in USC's rivalry game win over UCLA.
On Sunday at the Galen Center, the Trojans got an important Pac-10 win over the Bruins and improved to 9-1 on their home court with the 87-76 victory. With 19 points, three assists and a season-high five rebounds in the win, LeNoir came away from the game having moved up to No. 13 all-time in career scoring and also joined USC great Cheryl Miller at No. 5 all-time in career assists with her three assists vs. the Bruins. LeNoir leads USC in scoring with 12.7 ppg overall and is up to 14.5 ppg in Pac-10 play.
LeNoir's last Player of the Week honor also came after a standout performance against UCLA. As a sophomore in the 2005-06 season, LeNoir had a career-high 27 points against the Bruins. This is her second career honor as Pac-10 Player of the Week.
LeNoir and the Trojans have another two Pac-10 games at the Galen Center ahead this week, with a Thursday-Sunday swing against the Arizona schools. First up for the Trojans (12-9, 6-4 Pac-10) is a clash against Arizona State (17-6, 9-2) at 7 p.m. on Thursday (Feb. 12), followed by a televised matchup against Arizona (9-13, 2-9) on Sunday (Feb. 15) at 12 p.m.
