Pac-10 Q&A: Washington Golfer Richard Lee

On my iPod...Sadly my Classical music class materials.

What I’m reading...I’m not a big reader but I’m trying to read the bible daily.

Love to trade places for a day with...Kobe Bryant.  He’s the man!

Favorite teams as a kid...Seattle Mariners, Chicago Bulls and Seattle Supersonics.

Super power I’d most like to have...Being able to fly.

If you could compete in any other sport it would be...It would be basketball.

Favorite moment in a competition...Shooting 62 in the third round of the Washington State Amateur.

Tiger Woods or Annika Sorenstam? Hands down Tiger Woods!

Most creative cheer or sign by a fan...I’ve never had a sign made for me! Hopefully one of these days I will get to experience a nice cheer.

Favorite TV show...Has to be the office.

What your sights are set on after college...I am going to the PGA tour and playing golf.

Describe the best hole you’ve ever played...This is tough one.  I don’t have the best hole, but Pacific Dunes was a pretty awesome course.

 Favorite flavor of ice cream...Coffee.

Favorite school memory...This is funny because I would have to say that my favorite school memory was getting a 3.2 my fall quarter this year. I was a transfer student and was not expecting this high of a grade. I was very surprised and impressed with my self.

Who’s the funniest member of your team...We have a good group of guys who are all goofy.  But I would have to say Jens [Bracht].  He is just dorky.

If you could make the cover of any magazine, which one would it be? Sports Illustrated.

If you could cook dinner for one famous person, dead or alive, who would it be? What would you serve him/her for dinner?  I would like to cook diner for Michael Jordan.  I am a huge fan and I would cook him some Korean BBQ.  I want to share a bit of my passion.

 Gatorade or Powerade? Gatorade

The sport you’re the worst at...Ping Pong

If you were stranded on an island, what are the three essentials you’d need to have?  I’d bring my wife, my daughter and my whole family.  I can’t live with out my family.

Something about yourself that others would be surprised to hear...I got married when I was 18 and I have a beautiful two year old daughter.

Which of your teammates would you like to trade places with for a day and why? Kevin [Spooner] because he is the smartest guy I know. I took a class with him last quarter and he rarley took notes and 4.0 the class. I studied hard and barley got a 3.0. I want to know what it feels like to be smart.

Who is your favorite athlete? Tiger Woods.  He is so clutch and I am amazed by his ability to manage his game on and off the course.

What is the best advice you’ve received and who from? I got the best advice from my mother-in-law.  She told me, “she you go play, just accept the outcome of a shot and move on.”

What is your biggest pet peeve? People who are not truthful.

Favorite golf club? My favorite club is my putter.  Sometimes I hate it, but most of the time I like it.

Greatest sports memory...When I first went out and played golf.  It was the hardest thing ever, but I came through and look where I am now.
