LAKOWSKE SAYS -- 'In South Carolina when we shot the 319 the women were disappointed with themselves. They sat down after the first round, made some commitments to each other and things they needed to focus on. Obviously, that meant something to them, because they affirmed it to each other on the course. It paid off and they fought back to a top 10 finish. Confidence begins to build when you end a tournament going in the right direction. I see us building on that through this tournament and into the season.'

LAST TIME OUT -- The Beavers finished in a tie for 10th place at the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic in Kiawah Island, S.C. In the final day Oregon State jumped eight spots on the leaderboard. In the final round, the Beavers were led by junior Lauren Archer firing a 3-under-par 69 and sophomore Cara Freeman shot an even-par 72.

CAREER LOWS IN S.C. -- Junior Lauren Archer the best single-round score of her career with a 3-under-par, 69 at the Kiawah Island Classic. Freshman Elyse Okada's 74 in the second round was her career best round, and her tournament total of 232 was a career best as well.
