Kelly, Klahn Fall In Quarterfinals Of Pacific Coast Doubles

LA JOLLA, Calif. - The pair of Ted Kelly and Bradley Klahn won their first match of the day at the Pacific Coast Doubles tournament, but fell in the quarterfinals to end their run in the southern California competition.

In the Round of 16, the duo defeated Bartosz Golas and Juan Gomez of San Diego State, 7-6, 6-7, 6-0. Later on in the quarterfinals, the Cardinal fell to Charles Hoeveler and Bijan Moallemi, an independent pair from San Diego, 6-2, 7-5. Hoeveler is a former Stanford tennis player who played on The Farm from 1995-98.

The Cardinal will have a long break from competition, and will return to play on March 24 following final exams at Baylor in the annual HP Cup.
