TEMPE, Ariz. - The fifth ranked Arizona State baseball team swept away the Holy Cross Crusaders 11-3 on Saturday afternoon in front of 2,765 fans at Winkles Field-Packard Stadium at Brock Ballpark. Four Sun Devil pitchers combined to hold the Crusaders to only five hits, while the ASU bats pounded out 12 hits, their third straight game with double-digit hits. STANFORD, Calif. - Freshman right-hander Jordan Pries stymied Texas over 7.1-excellent innings in his first collegiate start, and the offense came alive for host Stanford (3-7) in a 7-1 win over the second-ranked Longhorns (11-1) at Klein Field at Sunken Diamond.
