Post game quotes: March 7 vs Arizona

Recap | Final Stats

'It's a nice way to end the regular season, putting an end to our season on a good note and starting to focus on the Pac-10 tournament. That is a whole other season for us. To come out on senior night and find a way to win. This is what tournament play is going to be like for us, having to go and grind out games. We're used to that. I think there were nerves and a lot of emotion for senior night. We found a way to win and that is what is most important.'

'I think we just settled down in the second half. We had a little bit of a run. That gave us some confidence and momentum. We kept telling them at time outs. This is our push. We've got to keep going at them. Everyone contributed tonight to make that happen. Trell (Shantrell Sneed) gave good minutes. Casey (Morris) gave good minutes. We needed everybody. Dev had ten defensive boards tonight, and we needed every one of them. You have to find a way to win, and we did.'

'They went on a run in the final three-four minutes. They went to their horns play, a quick ball screen, and we didn't adjust. They scored a couple of quick buckets off that. Down the stretch, though, that last minute, we did what we needed to do defensively and we got the win.'

'This team always finds a way to win. We had two losses back-to-back. What makes it more dramatic, is when they happened. They happened back-to-back, which we haven't done in a really long time (since the 2005-06 season) and they happened at the end of the season. If you have a loss at the beginning of the season and the middle of the season, everyone just moves forward. But back-to-back and the end of the season, we've got a lot at stake. And we played like that. For us to come in tonight and find a way to win, it says a lot.'

Boyle on the impact and changes to the program over the last four years

'Do the seniors know the impact they have had on this program? No, I don't think the players really do, because they are in it every day. It's hard to step back and see it. However, as a coach who has been in the profession for awhile, I don't think they have any idea what they have done for this community, laying the foundation for building up this program. Ten years from now, looking back, this is the team that started it. When we win a national championship, whether it be this year or down the road, this is the team that started it. It wasn't that there was a group who did it for two years and left. It has been this group for four solid years of putting their heart and soul into it. They made it what it is. This speaks volumes to them. I don't know how many teams have done that.'

Senior forward Walker on her defensive stand down the stretch that sealed the game for the Bears

'I knew that we had possession. LG (Lauren Greif) rattled that off as we went back onto the floor, and that stuck with me. I knew that if we missed the shot, I was going to go hard for the rebound, and if I didn't get it, I was going for the ball to tie it up. That was my mindset for that play.'

Walker on senior day

'I think we excited and sad. We couldn't ask for a better family, a better group of sisters. But we had to kind of let that go and focus on the game and try to improve ourselves from the last couple of games.'

'We went through our usual routine, but I think our warm ups were slower. We were actually behind on warm up because we were savoring our last few seconds doing our warm up on our court the way we like to do it. There is no certain time limit, like in the tournament. Other than that, we tried to keep it as normal as possible. It climaxed when they introduced us, when we had to walk out on the floor. That's when it really hit us that , wow, this is the last time I am going to do this, play a game in front of this crowd on this floor.'
