March 17, 2009

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State women's basketball game Saturday night at legendary Gill Coliseum now has an official 7 p.m. PT start, it was announced on Tuesday.

The game is the second round of the Women's National Invitation Tournament and features the Beavers and the winner of Portland-Portland State. Oregon State has a bye in the first round and will keep its eyes on Thursday night's winner between the Vikings and Pilots. That game will be played at 7:05 p.m. PT on Portland State's campus.

The Beavers' appearance in the WNIT is the team's second under head coach LaVonda Wagner and eighth all-time. Most recently, in 2005-06, the Beavers defeated Santa Clara at home but fell to Wyoming in Laramie.
