Notes Of Importance
• The game is the home opener for the Beavers. Oregon State went 14-7 in home games in 2008.
• Tyler Waldron will be making his first start at Goss as a Beaver, but not his first all-time. As a member of Pacific, he limited OSU to just two runs in a 2-0 loss to end the 2008 season.
• The five-game homestand is the first and only of the season for the Beavers, who will also play in four straight May 1-4.
• OSU is 6-2 all-time against Utah Valley, but split the season series in 2008, 1-1.
• Just six of 33 (18 percent) inherited runners have scored on Oregon State relievers this season. Kraig Sitton has inherited nine and kept each off the board.
• Pat Casey needs three wins for 650 all-time. He needs 24 for 500 at Oregon State.
