Haruguchi Earns Ninth All-America Honor

COLLEGE STATION, Tex. - Saori Haruguchi finished ninth during the 100 butterfly when she finished the event in 52.18, earning her ninth All-America honor and putting the Oregon State women's swim team in 26th after two days of competition at the NCAA Championships.
Haruguchi also finished 12th during the first day of swimming in the 200 individual medley. She managed to cut a second off the school record that she already owns in the event when she finished the race in 1:56.80 during the preliminaries.
Anna Crandall also competed during the second day of swimming when she finished the 200 freestyle in 1:47.00.
Competition concludes tomorrow when Haruguchi and Kayla Rawlings will compete in the 200 butterfly, while Crandall finishes the meet by competing in the 100 freestyle. The preliminaries will begin at 9 a.m. (PST), with the finals following at 5 p.m. (PST).
