Men's Golf Heads to Eugene for Duck Invitational

What's Happening This Week : The Washington State men's golf team travels to Eugene, Ore., for the Duck Invitational, March 23-24...the 54-hole tournament will be played at the par-72, 6,847-yard Eugene Country results from each round will be posted at

The Field: The 12-team field pairs Washington State with host school Oregon, as well as UC Davis, UC Riverside, Illinois, Missouri, Montana, Oregon State, Portland, Portland State, San Francisco State and Wisconsin.

Traveling for the Cougars: Six Cougars will be traveling south to take a swing at victory in Eugene...the Cougar contingent include juniors Kevin Tucker and Austin Hurt, sophomore Nick Ellis and freshmen Trent Sanders and Paul Mitzel. Junior Nick Grigsby will be competing as and individual.

Last Time Out: The Cougar men finished in seventh place at the Border Olympics (March 13-14) after posting a three-round score of 894...Nick Ellis led WSU with a 15th place finish, posting a final score of 222 (+6).

Last Year at Duck Invitational: The Cougars finished in sixth place ahead of Pacific-10 rival Oregon State.
