Husky Women Fourth At Dixie

ST. GEORGE, Utah -- Heading into the final day of the tournament, the Husky women's golf team shot a two-round 620 (308-312) and is in fourth place at the BYU Dixie Classic at Snow Canyon Country Club.

Leading the way for the UW is sophomore Anya Alvarez, who shot a two-round 6-over 150 (75-75) to end day one in a tie for tenth place. Following Alvarez is sophomores Karinn Dickinson (80-78), Christina Yoon (78-80) and freshman Sadena Parks (75-83), who are each tied for 26th place at 14-over, or 158. Junior Molly Aronsson shot a 161 and is tied for 40th place.

The Huskies also brought three individuals. Nicole Fererro (167) is in 55th place, Katie Saucier (168) is in 59th place and Darcie Richmond (170) is in 66th. Leading the tournament thus far in the team standings is Denver (287-292 579) and one of its members, Stephanie Sherlock, is the only player to finish under par, shooting a 2-under 142. is The Huskies begin the final round of play at 8:30 a.m. Live coverage of the event is available at golfstat.com.
