Cal Baseball's Comeback Falls Short, Loses 8-7 to Washington State

BERKELEY, CALIF. - The Cal baseball team made a valiant effort, coming back from an 8-2 deficit with five runs in the eighth inning, highlighted by senior third baseman Michael Brady's three-run homer and senior designated hitter Ryan Hanlon's two-run double, but still fell to Washington State, 8-7, Friday afternoon at Evans Diamond. The Golden Bears dropped to 13-9 overall 2-2 in the Pac-10. The Cougars improved to 9-11 and 1-0 in league play.
