Cougars Finish Mountain View Collegiate

TUCSON, Ariz. - The Washington State women's golf team moved up three places during the final round to finish in a three-way tie for 14th at the Mountain View Collegiate. The tournament was held at the par-72, 6,263-yard Mountain View Golf Course.

The Cougars posted a 289 (+1) during the final round which was good enough to tie for the lowest team score of the day. The performance was also WSU's lowest round of the tournament.

'It was a course that required a little local knowledge and took us a few rounds to figure out,' said Head Coach Walt Williams.

Amy Eneroth finished in a tie for 18th and notched her 35th career top-25 finish. The senior marked an even-par 72 during the final day to post a three-round total of 221 (+5). Eneroth was the best in the field at par-3 scoring, as she went 4-under on par-3 holes throughout the tournament.

Freshman Kristen Allard finished second for the Cougars. She carded a 74 (+2) during the final round to give her a tournament total of 228 (+12). The score marks the second-lowest three-round total of her career.

Andrea Rosete posted a 73 (+1) during the final day which ties the lowest round of her career. The freshman ended with a two-day total of 231.

Rosete was followed by senior Jessica Black who shot the lowest round of any Cougar in the tournament. The third-round 71 (-1) gave Black a total of 233 for the tournament.

Rounding out the Cougar lineup was freshman Lauren Howell who tallied a 73 during the final round, and a three-round total of 234.

The WSU women will head to Miami, Fla., next to play in the Cardinal Classic on April 6-7.
