TEMPE, Ariz. - The No. 3 Arizona State University baseball team fell 7-5 to top-ranked Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday in the first game of the DeMarini West Coast Challenge in front of 3,851 fans at Winkles Field-Packard Stadium at Brock Ballpark. SAN FRANCISCO - The California baseball team got a solid outing from sophomore right-hander Kevin Miller (1-1, 5.2 innings, five hits, one run, two walks, six strikeouts), and a home run and a save from junior Blake Smith on the way to a 4-3 victory over San Francisco in the fourth annual Dante Benedetti Classic Tuesday at AT&T Park. SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Adam Buschini went 3-for-4 with a home run and five RBI Tuesday as the No. 23 Cal Poly Mustangs defeated the USC Trojans, 7-5, in a nonconference game at Baggett Stadium.
