Saturday's Softball Game Approaching Sellout

April 2, 2009

SEATTLE - Saturday's softball game between the No. 3 Washington Huskies and the No. 4-ranked and defending national champion Arizona State Sun Devils is nearly sold out, with less than 30 infield reserved tickets available.

Infield reserve tickets are just $8 and can be purchased at or by calling 206-543-2200. Outfield general admission seats for the game are already sold out.

Standing room only tickets will be sold on game day on a space available basis and are $4 per person.

The game - which starts at 3 p.m. - pits two of the top teams in the country along with two of the top individual players in the nation in UW's junior pitcher Danielle Lawrie and ASU's senior Kaitlin Cochran. Lawrie leads the nation with a 0.42 ERA and 242 strikeouts while Cochran is second in the Pac-10 with a .475 average and has belted 15 home runs this season.

The Huskies are off to a 28-5 start this season but are 1-2 in Pac-10 play after falling twice to No. 2 Stanford last weekend. They will look to get back on track this weekend when they host No. 9 Arizona on Friday at 1 p.m., and the Sun Devils on Saturday at 3 p.m. and Sunday at Noon.
