Walker And Muhammad Compete In Hurdles At Texas Relays Today

USC freshmen Duane Walker and Dalilah Muhammad competed in the 400m intermediate hurdles today (April 2) at the Texas Relays held in Austin, Texas. The Trojans will have another 14 athletes and relay teams in action over the next two days of the Texas Relays. Also, there will be many Trojans in competition this Saturday, April 4 at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational, running from 9 a.m. until 5:40 p.m. in Pomona, Calif.

Walker ran a season-best 52.82 to place third in his heat of the men's 400m IH University Prelims. He placed 10th overall, one spot shy of qualifying for the finals as the top nine advanced.

Muhammad, running the 400m IH in the women's University/Collegiate Prelims, had a time of 1:01.06 to win her heat. However, she did not qualify for the finals as she placed 12th overall.
