Cal Baseball Loses at No. 19 Oregon State, 8-4

CORVALLIS, ORE. - The California baseball team jumped on the scoreboard first, scoring runs in the first and third innings, but yielded a five-run seventh inning to No. 19-ranked Oregon State and fell, 8-4, to the Beavers in a Pac-10 game Friday in Corvallis. The Golden Bears dropped to 15-12 and 3-4 in conference, and Oregon State improved to 16-6 and 3-1 in league play. Cal was led by junior center fielder Brett Jackson, who doubled twice, including an RBI double in the third inning. The Bears also got a two-run single from freshman left fielder Danny Oh in the eighth inning.
