Gymcats Finish Fourth at Regionals
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Arizona gymnastics team closed it season with a fourth-place finish in the South Central Regional Saturday night at Barnhill Arena in Fayetteville, Ark. ASU Gymnastics Places Fifth at South Central Regional
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Arizona State women's gymnastics team finished fifth at the NCAA South Central Regional. The team scored a 193.9 to finish behind host Arkansas (196.3), STANFORD (196.2), Michigan (195.7) and ARIZONA (194.35) and ahead of Southern Utah (192.65). Arkansas and Stanford will go onto to the NCAA Championships. Nicole Harris narrowly missed qualifying for the NCAA Champions after tying for second place in the all-around competition. [READ MORE]

Three California Gymnasts Compete at NCAA Regionals
SEATTLE - Junior Sophia Hocini finished tenth in the all-around. Hocini earned a combined score of 38.750 to finish in a tie for tenth place in the standings. Hocini scored a 9.750 on the vault, 9.650 on the bars, 9.575 on the beam, and 9.775 on the floor. The Bears also had two gymnasts competing in individual events. Senior Bridgette Glass earned a 9.650 on the bars, tying with Hocini for 35th place. Sophomore Avery Gee rated a 9.750 on the floor to finish 27th. [READ MORE]

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The No. 8 Oregon State gymnastics team finished second at the NCAA Central Regional Championships to qualify for the NCAA Championships for the fourth straight season. Mandi Rodriguez won the individual title on the floor exercise and tied for first on the vault. [READ MORE]

Stanford Advances to NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Stanford, the No. 4-ranked team in the country, had some rough moments that put added pressure on the team late in an already pressured-packed NCAA South Central Regional on Saturday night. But the Cardinal did enough to finish second in the six-team event, scoring 196.2 points, behind Arkansas's 196.3. Michigan was third with 195.7. Carly Janiga followed up her Pacific-10 Conference title by scoring 39.45 points to edge runner-up Casey Jo Magee of Arkansas (39.40) for her first regional all-around championship. [READ MORE]

UCLA Qualifies to 25th NCAA Championship
IOWA CITY, IA. - UCLA qualified to the NCAA Championships for the 25th time after placing second at the NCAA North Central Regional in Iowa City, IA. The Bruins were a close second to first-place Florida, scoring 196.625 to the Gators' 196.775. Iowa State placed third with a 195.650, followed by Denver (195.6), Minnesota (193.775) and Iowa (193.625). [READ MORE]

Washington Coach Bowers Named Regional Co-Head Coach of the Year
SEATTLE. Head gymnastics coach Joanne Bowers was named Regional Co-Head Coach of the Year and the GymDawgs tied for fifth overall in the NCAA West Regional at Bank of America Arena Saturday night. [READ MORE]
