Spring Game Details Announced
April 8, 2009
Corvallis, Ore. -
Have your favorite Beaver football players sign autographs, marvel at a Sean Canfield deep post pass and experience the Seventh Inning Stretch all in the same day by traveling to the Oregon State University campus Sat. May 2. And, even if you can’t be there in person, we have you covered with online and over-the-air live coverage.
The action-packed day begins at 10 a.m. with the opening of Fan Fair at Parker Plaza and the Beaver Authentics autograph session (open until 11 a.m.) at Reser Stadium. The Spring Game, presented by Azumano Travel, begins at Noon with admission $5 -- free for OSU students with student identification and for kids 12 and under. Fans will receive a free spring game poster (while supplies last), and can enter to win two Alaska Airlines tickets for any flight destined for California and two Club Level tickets for the season opener against Portland State. General admission tickets are available for purchase now at legendary Gill Coliseum or on gameday at the stadium; GA tickets permit access to the Club Level or the east side seating areas -- the remainder of the stadium will be closed.
Prior to the spring game Beaver Athletics will honor longtime administrator, coach and student-athlete Paul Valenti. Valenti was inducted into the Pac-10 Conference Hall of Honor last month in Los Angeles.
Enjoy the football experience and then make the short walk over to Goss Stadium at Coleman Field for what is shaping up to be the series that could decide the Pac-10 champion for baseball when the current No. 16 Beavers host current No. 1 Arizona State in game two of the three-game set at 5 p.m. Tickets are going fast for every game in this series – go to osubeavers.com, call 1-800-Go-BEAVS or visit legendary Gill Coliseum today before it’s too late.
If you are stuck at home, on the road or in another country you can still experience the fun. KPAM 860 in Portland will air the first two hours of the scrimmage and the full baseball game, along with the regular Beaver Sports Network baseball affiliates. Live audio and video will also be available to Beaver Nation Online subscribers, the official audio/visual home of OSU Athletics, for both events.
It’s going to be a lot of fun; we hope you can join us.
