Buffs Set To Host CU Invitational
BOULDER -The University of Colorado track and field team will host the second of its three home meets this season on Saturday, April 11.
The Colorado Invitational will be held at Potts Field and will start with the women's hammer throw and the men's javelin at 10 a.m. The running events are set to begin at 2 p.m. with the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase. The final event of the day is the men's 4x400-meter relay at 6:30 p.m.
The Buffaloes will host several Front Range schools on Saturday. Air Force, Colorado State, Colorado College, Colorado School of Mines, Colorado State-Pueblo, Metro State, UC-Colorado Springs, Western State and Northern Colorado will represent the local schools while Chadron State, Colby Community College and Montana will also compete.
The forecast for Saturday is a high of 56 F and a 30 percent chance of precipitation (as of Thursday afternoon). Should inclement weather force a cancellation of the meet, such notice will be posted on www.CUBuffs.com as well as a message left on the track and field office voice mail at 303/492-5227.
Parking and admission are free for the event. Results will be updated online on the schedule page throughout the meet. The schedule of events for the Potts Invitational is listed below:
