Coaches and Pac-10 Conference officials will decide whether to resume the game at a later date.

Before the stoppage, the Sun Devils had a pair of hits and a good scoring threat in the first but a couple of defensive plays helped Arizona get out of a jam, including a 5-2-6 tag out of Jessica Mapes off third and a snagged low liner by second baseman Victoria Kemp.

Brittany Lastrapes and K'Lee Arredondo each took 1-0 pitches offered by ASUstarter Hillary Bach and drilled it over the fence to lead off the UA firstand give the Wildcats a 2-0 lead.

ASU knotted the game with a single by Krista Donnenwirth and a ChristinaZambrana two-run home run to center off Sarah Akamine in the top of thesecond. In its half, Arizona loaded the bases with a pair of hits byVictoria Kemp and Lauren Schutzler, and a walk to Brittany Lastrapes, butstranded all three.
