Trap Game -- Not So Fast

April 16, 2009

Corvallis, Ore. -

The stakes continued to get higher as Oregon State took a four-game Pac-10 Conference win streak into the fabled Rose Bowl to play the UCLA Bruins in a 'trap-game.'

Starting Beaver quarterback Lyle Moevao was sidelined with an injury from the previous week and Sean Canfield, coming off an injury, made his first start since the 2007 season at USC.   The Beaver offense was conservative in the first half and thus a 3-3 tie at the break, but OSU broke the game open in the second half with 31 points to cruise to a 34-6 win.

Canfield connected on 16 of 22 pass attempts for 222 yards and two touchdowns, while Jacquizz Rodgers added 144 yards and a score on the ground.

You can relive the game by subscribing to Beaver Nation Online and watching the FSN Northwest broadcast in its entirety.
