Nicole Leach and Ryann Krais will head to Philadelphia to compete at the prestigious Penn Relays, while the men's and women's track and field teams will head to La Jolla for the UC San Diego Triton Classic this weekend.

Leach and Krais, both from Pennsylvania, will get the chance to compete in front of their hometown fans as both will run the 400m hurdles on Thursday. Leach hails from West Philadelphia and Krais is from Eagleville. This will mark the first 400m hurdles race for Leach this season. Krais has a top intermediate time of 59.84, which is a regional qualfier.

Athletes from both the No. 9 women's team and No. 16 men's team will compete at the UCSD Triton Classic in the final tune-up before the dual with USC next weekend. La Jolla is known for favorable winds, so the throwers and vaulters will look to take full advantage at the meet.

With just two weeks left in the regular season, both teams have each tallied 22 regional qualifying marks with all event groups represneted on both squads. The Bruins will look to improve on regional marks this weekend as they gear up for the final few weeks of the 2009 season.
