California Tied for Sixth after Second Day of Pac-10 Championships

The California Golden Bears are tied for sixth place after the second round of the Pac-10 Championship, being played at Stanford Golf Course. Sophomore Pia Halbig remains in the top-10 individuals, posting a +4 through 36 holes.

The Bears, who opened the tournament with a 298 in the first round, posted a team total of 305 in the second round to fall into a tie for sixth with Washington State. Arizona State, who were in third place after the first round, vaulted into first, dropping 12 strokes with a second round 281.

Halbig duplicated her day one two-over 73 with another 73 in the second round. Halbig had a pair of birdies, on on the par-3 fourth and the other coming in the back nine on the par-4 11th hole.

Freshman Diane Kwon also posted an identical score in her second round, shooting 77's both days.

Senior Shannon Yocum posted a 76. Senior Allison Goodman shot a 79.
