Cougars Move Up Two Spots After Second Round

STANFORD, Calif. - The Washington State women's golf team concluded the second round today of the Pacific-10 Conference Championships, at the par-71, 6,117-yard Stanford Golf Course.
The Cougars jumped two spots on leader board to finish in a tie for sixth with The second round score of 297 is the second-lowest score at a conference tournament in WSU history.
The team was guided by their two senior leaders Amy Eneroth and Jessica Black, who both carded a 71 (E) during the second day of play, which ranks as the fourth-lowest single-round score at a Pacific-10 Championship in school history. Eneroth will enter the final round in a tie for fifth, while Black will start in a tie for 12th.
Freshman Andrea Rosete posted a 77 during the second round and will head into the final day in a tie for 35th.
Fellow freshmen Kristen Allard and Lauren Howell both saw improvement during their second rounds. Allard improved two strokes from Friday and finished with a total of 160 for the tournament. Howell cut seven strokes from her first-day performance and has a two-day total of 163.
Third-round tee times will begin tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. Live scoring will be posted at www.golfstat.com.
