Box Score

Stanford, Calif. – The Oregon State softball set a new school record for double plays on Sunday afternoon, led by senior Paige Lowe (Tustin, Calif.), who counted it by herself, but the Beavers were unable to come up with the win against No. 4 Stanford in a final 4-0 decision.

In the bottom of the sixth, P. Lowe ran across the infield catching a line drive by shortstop Ashley Hansen and catching left fielder Alissa Haber off second base to close the inning.

Sophomore McKenna Lowe (Tustin, Calif.) broke up the no-hitter ensuing through five innings with a slapped single back to the pitcher. M. Lowe advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by junior Alana Ford (Chula Vista, Calif.) but was left stranded as the inning closed.

Also reaching for Oregon State was sophomore Audrey Roderfeld (Vista, Calif.), who led off the fifth inning by being hit by pitch.

Junior Kelly Dyer (Eugene, Ore.) threw the complete game, striking out two, but was charged with the loss, making her record 10-15.

Haber led the Cardinal offense with a 3-for-4 performance. Pitcher Missy Penna captured her 29th win of the season, improving to 29-4.
